Due to the violent 7.2 earthquake in Van, KYM continues it's emergency relief activities, which are now in full swing and have started the construction of prefabricated houses in the disaster region.
On October 23rd, homes were destroyed by the earthquake, and many people could no longer enter their homes. So KYM initiated a permanent project to contract 200 units of prefabricated housing in Van.
In Central Van and Ercis, 6 residential units with a capacity of 1100 students and 10 student reading halls are to be constructed by KYM. Also, KYM is going to give scholarships to 1000 students in need in Van. The student's families will benefit from the project as well.
