Kimse Yok Mu gives away meat aid to six thousand Afghan families

Kimse Yok Mu Foundation helped 6 thousand families in need enjoy the Eid al-Adha by slaughtering 550 head of cattle in six different provinces across Afghanistan.

Joined by Afghan-Turk Cag Educational Institutions and Afghan and Turkish businessmen gave away eid beef in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Mazar-i Sharif, Sheberghan cities, from the first day thru the third.

A volunteer from Istanbul Metin Ozal spoke to Cihan: “We are here for the eid, far from our homes. It feels great to be here, at the far end of the world, sharing the eid joy with our friends. What we’ve seen here is so exciting. We’ve been able to appreciate the true meaning of the eid and its beauty here. It’s great to be able to reach out the needy and share something with them. May Allah be pleased with whoever made it possible. It’s a great organization. I’d recommend everyone not to spend the eid at home but to come here and see all these.”

Hasan Koc, who is the father of Gurkan Koc, a Turkish teacher in Afghanistan, was among the volunteer from Turkey. “Every eye should see this. There’s so much to tell but I just can’t express it. It’s a great service to the needy. May Allah be pleased with everyone involved. I would like to wish happy eid to all Muslims and applaud Hizmet Movement.

An elderly Afghan woman, in gratitude, said, “Allah will record the names of whoever involved in these efforts. We haven’t heard from the state for the eight months. We were starving. We’ve come here to pick our share. May Allah accept their sacrifices slaughtered for Allah, the Quran, the Prophet.”

Vice-President of Afghan-Turk Cag Educational Institutions’ board Ahmad Fawad Haydari recalled the schools have been leading the eid efforts for 20 years now. “Our schools have been offering education to some four thousand students in six provinces. KYM joins us and helps greatly in our humanitarian efforts,” Haydari said. He expressed his thanks to the donors for their donations for the needy Afghans.
