Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen on Sunday to express his best wishes after he was hospitalized on Saturday.
Turkish media cited Prime Ministry sources as saying that the telephone call took place late on Sunday before Erdoğan headed to Ankara from İstanbul.
herkul.org, a web-site that usually publishes Gülen's speeches, said on its Twitter account on Sunday that Gülen is now resting at home after staying in hospital for 12 hours.
In March earlier this year, Gülen conveyed his “get well soon” wishes to Erdoğan, who was taken to a hospital after catching a cold.
