Noted for its Africa-oriented efforts, the international aid organization Kimse Yok Mu has taken on yet another momentous work to earn Uganda its most modern hospital and school.
The complex, currently under construction, in the city Jinja is scheduled to be launched in 2014. With its rough-in completed so far, the complex comprises a dormitory, kitchen and various sport facilities, alongside hospital and school.
Speaking to Cihan News Agency, urologist Dr. Necdet Kizilkaya, who is in charge of the hospital section, said the complex has been financed with the contributions of Anatolian people. “This hospital is designed as a remedy to serve and cure Africans in need of their diseases, at least to a small extent. We hope to complete it in five-six months by the end of 2013, God willing,” Kizilkaya said.
Noting that they intend to serve patients at ten different departments, Dr. Kizilkaya said, “When launched, our hospital is going to take its place among the fully-equipped hospitals of the country.”
Dr. Kizilkaya pointed out that medical services in Uganda are rather deficient and particularly public hospitals –which offer treatments free of charge- are held in deplorable conditions, while the private ones, relatively in better conditions, lack doctors. He went on to say they are in the belief that their hospital to be launched in 2014 will successfully serve Ugandans in a much more modern environment and fill a major void in healthcare.
The hospital will offer medical care at departments; internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, general surgery, urology and ophthalmology, radiology, anesthesia and dentistry.
Ercan Tatsiz, the official in charge of the school, noted the construction launched in early 2012 is well underway. The school building will be co-located with its 250-capacity dormitory and kitchen.
