Great Turkmen poet and philosopher Mahdumgulu Faragi commemorated in Baku

Dialogue Eurasia Platform (DEP) having a great progress in the development of cultural relations between the Turkic-speaking states, added to this list another success. Thus, at Qafkaz University held an event on "Development, Unity, and the days of poetry of Mahdumgulu Faragi", dedicated to the life and works of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Mahdumgulu Faragi, organized by the Azerbaijani representative of Dialogue Eurasia Platform, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan and Qafkaz University. The first speech was made by Ahmet Sanich – prof., Head of the University. He expressed his thoughts on behalf of people united by language, culture and historical heritage. The next speaker was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov. In his speech he said about the rich historical community and the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

Mehmet Rıhtım - assistant professor, Director of the Caucasus Research Institute addressing the meeting with the theme "The path leading up from the Hamza Nigar Mahdumgulu" as well as Ramadan Çakır - associate professor, invited from Turkey with the theme of "Friendship and humanity in Mahdumgulu Faragi’s works" and Dawood Orazsahedov - fellow of the Institute of manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan with the theme "Life and creative work of Mahdumgulu Faragi" again brought to the attention of the audience, about the contributions made ​​Mahdumgulu Faragi in the development of world culture through its literary, scientific and philosophical works.


During the event, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan were awarded special diplomas to Enver Ozeren - Ph.D., Head of the Management Board of the company "Çağ Öğretim", Ahmet Sanych - Ph.D., Chief of Qafqaz University, Mustafa Saatchi - Coordinator of Dialogue Eurasia Platform in Azerbaijan, Natig Pasha - associate professor, the Chief Secretary of Qafqaz University, Najaf Aleskerov - Director of the Department of Public Health, Culture and Sport of Qafqaz University, for their cooperation and contribution to the development of friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

For completion of the formal part of the event, the floor was given to the Coordinator of Dialogue Eurasia Platform in Azerbaijan Mustafa Saatchi. In his speech he said that the rich artistic heritage and life of Mahdumgulu Faragi, plays an important role in the development of a dialogue between the Turkic and the world's nations. Then he pointed out the importance of such events for education of younger generation. In conclusion, Mustafa Saatchi once again welcomed the guests and thanked them for their active participation in this event.

Further, the event continued with an interesting artistic part. The event was attended by numerous representatives of public, private and international organizations, and received extensive illumination in the media.
