South Africa welcomes International Festival of Language and Culture

The 14th International Festival of Language and Culture, SA (IFLCSA) will be held on April 21, 2016, at the Nelson Mandela Theatre in Johannesburg.

The Festival is the largest and most prominent global project for promoting world languages and cultures. The globally acclaimed International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) is dedicated to cultivating and educating the youth, creating a platform to share their cultural heritage with their peers around the world and to witness exceptional performances by students of diverse nationalities.

This year 16 countries will participate in the Festival in Johannesburg and includes performances from: Azerbaijan, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Bosnia, India, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Malawi, Philippines, Senegal. Tanzania, Ukraine, USA, Zambia and South Africa.

Founded in Turkey in 2003, IFLC grew from 17 participating countries to 145 countries with more than 2000 participants. The IDLC is an annual celebration and showcases an exciting diversity of linguistic talents from across the globe. Through exceptional performances by students from across the world, it seeks to promote a better understanding of world languages and cultures and is a great motivation for participating students, teachers, schools, and parents.

There is no cost to attend the event and is open to the public.
