Pak-Turk Group will establish an international standard university in Lahore and talks are in progress with the government in this regard.
This was stated by Huseyin Unver, Regional Director Punjab chapter of Pak-Turk Group (PTG) during a media briefing here at a hotel on Thursday. He told the media that initial work on this mega project had been completed while land acquisition also was under way to set up a campus. He added that PTG has vast experience in the field of education and proposed university would be made a centre of excellence in the country. He said that PTG already running a successful model of educational institutions across the country. He said Pak-Turk Group of Schools and Colleges has setup 25 campuses in 12 major cities of the country since 1995. He added that over 8000 male and female students were studying in PTG educational institutions across the country. Referring the major achievements of the institutions, he said that PTG students won 187 gold, 36 silver and 70 Bronze medals in national and international competitions on science, environment and other fields since last two years which was a distinction among all other educational institutions of the country. He added that PTG students participated not only in national contests but also in Olympiad in USA, Turkey, Georgia, Kenya, Netherlands, UK, Indonesia and other countries and won medals that was a great honour for Pakistan. He said that PTG students excelled among the other institutions in the country and would continue this spirit in future. PTG Mujahid Mukhtar Virk, Deputy Director Education, Punjab, Murat Yakut Principal PTG School Boys Lahore and Orhan Yougun Principal Girls Campus also were present on the occasion.
