Iftar dinner for one thousand Ugandan orphans daily

Having launched its Ramadan 2014 initiatives under the slogan “Fill up your umbrella of mercy with the abundance of sharing,” Kimse Yok Mu Foundation has been serving iftar dinners for one thousand orphans daily in Uganda. The target is 30 thousand by the end of the month.

The foundation’s director for international aid efforts Yusuf Yildirim said they encourage everyone to spare a chair for an orphan at their table. In addition to the iftar dinners, Yildirim said, they’ve given away Ramadan food packages to one thousand families as well. “We’ve been in an effort to bring in Ramadan joy to the orphan in 46 different countries. We believe Ramadan is better as we share. Thanks to our volunteers for extending a hand to the orphan around the world, in Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Venezuela, regardless of where they are.”

Somalia thanks Kimse Yok Mu

The foundation’s volunteer also gave away Ramadan packages to 180 orphan students in Somalia. 

The Somali deputy-minister for religious affairs Muhamed Ali Dahir and a tribe chief in Hodan region Mohamoud Aden Abdirisak joined the volunteers in distributing the aid.

Abdirisak said, “The orphan here is financially in a very poor condition. Thank you for cheering them up in the month of Ramadan. Many thanks Kimse Yok Mu from Somalia for their aid.” “Kimse Yok Mu volunteers always remembered our orphans. It’s been helping continuously us since the severe draught. Thank you very much for sharing the abundance that Ramadan brings along,” the minister for religious affair Dahir remarked.

Kimse Yok Mu aims to create a joy-filled Ramadan in 110 countries on 5 continents. The target by the end of the month is Ramadan packages for 400 thousand, hot meals for 2 million 500 thousand people and clothing for 50 thousand particularly for the orphan.
