Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen who resides in Pennsylvania since 1999, expressed his condolences to Süleyman Demirel, the 9th president of Republic of Turkey, after his spouse passed away at age of 86 on Tuesday.
One of the official twitter accounts of Fethullah Gülen has announced today that Gülen has called the Turkey’s Former President Süleyman Demirel to express his condolences.
Gülen is a Turkish Islamic scholar well known for his teachings promoting mutual understanding and tolerance between cultures. He has pioneered educational initiatives in a number of countries, along with efforts to promote intercultural and interfaith activities around the world.
