Turkish Parliamentary Delegation Visits Pak-Turk Schools in Islamabad

Cemil Cicek, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament (Turkish Grand National Assembly), accompanied by an official delegation paid a visit to Pak-Turk School and College during his stay in the country for Parliament Assembly of Economic Partnership Organization to take place in Islamabad.

On February 11, Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek, CHP (The Republican’s Party) Istanbul Deputy Nur Serter and MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) Ankara Deputy Tugrul Turkes were the guests of International Pak-Turk School and College in Islamabad, a member of the large Turkish Schools network operating across the country since 1995. In his remarks, Cicek confidently expressed his optimism for the prospective bilateral relations, having witnessed the students’ high achievements and friendly relations.

The warmly received delegation attended the recently held Pak-Turk Schools National Math Olympiad award ceremony. The students were presented their awards by Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek. Afterwards, Cicek commented: “We have close ties existing between Turkey and Pakistan. And these children that we congratulate and share happiness with, today, will hopefully strengthen our relations in the future with their ever-growing contributions.”

Following the remarks, the students displayed performances especially prepared for the delegation’s visit. The event concluded with the audience’s big round of applause and student’s enthusiasm and excitement in the air.
