Professor Liaqat Ali told the reporters that as the University of the Punjab they had conferred honorary doctorate to Fethullah Gülen this year on May 17, 2012 in recognition of his contributions to education and peace, and that this conference will be a convenient follow-up.
Dedicated to exploring Fethullah Gülen’s ideas on diverse issues, the conference will feature speakers and participants from a number of countries including Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, UK, and USA. The conference will start with a reception dinner on November 20, Tuesday, at the prestigious Pearl Continental Hotel, hosted by Honorable Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab. The keynote speaker of the event will be Dr. Muhammed Çetin, Member of Parliament from Turkey, who is an expert on social movements with a particular specialization on Hizmet movement that has flourished around the ideas of M.
