Turkish, Pakistani teachers observe ‘their’ day

International Teachers’ Day was observed by Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges system as Turkish teachers were joined in by parents and students to acknowledge the contributions of the faculty members towards services for better education, training and nurturing the younger generations in Pakistan.

Asma Qazi, head of ECA, chaired the function while Ahmet Efeturk, principal of Pak-Turk School System, was chief guest. Apart from staff and faculty members, students and parents also gathered here to pay tributes to the services of the faculty members to the cause of imparting education to the younger generations.

Speakers on the occasion highlighted the contribution and services of the Pak-Turk Schools and Colleges. They also lauded the contribution of the government and the people of Turkey, who were providing sufficient funds for education of the youngsters of Pakistan. They also said that the school system was a symbol of strong friendship between the peoples and governments of Pakistan and Turkey, which shared traditional, historic and brotherly relations for centuries. On the occasion, the faculty members cut a cake to mark the international teachers’ day while the participants were also served with refreshments.
