KYM meets with United Nations officials

The United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group INSARAG and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA officials visited the General Headquarters of KYM.

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' (OCHA) North African and Central Asia Regional Office Information Manager Majed Abu Kubi and OCHA Department of Emergency Services Coordinator Nihan Erdogan visited KYM to discuss topics and strengthen relations between the UN and KYM.

Majed Abu Kubi stated that Turkey has increased their visibility in both the field of NGOs and government, underlying that the international aid and assistance they provide must be reported to draw the attention of the international community and get acknowledgement. Kubi also advised that Turkey, especially KYM, to use the UN information systems to become more widely known and to conduct their work in a coordinated manner.

The KYM officials and UN officials, which wished for the continuation of successful aid projects, came to an agreement.
