Thailand government thanks Turkish donators

The flood disaster has paralyzed life in the Pacific country Thailand. KYM continues it's help activities during Kurban holiday and has sent $20,000 to Thailand. 10 national newspapers and 8 television channels presented the donation as flash news and Thailand government officials showed their gratitude.

Flood disaster has inflicted great suffering on the people in the country. Basic food items could not be found and reportedly thousands of people live in tents set up at stadiums and indoor sports halls. The news is reporting that the countries 5 million Muslims are in distress.

Thailand is having difficult times and KYM volunteer teachers in Thailand's Turkish schools went to Chaing Mai, which is 8 hours away from the capital city Bangkok, and delivered 15 thousand care packages containing pasta and meat to people in need.

During the Kurban holiday, donators sent 4 tons of sacrificial meat by plane to Bangkok, packed it and distributed it to people in need.

KYM's aid activities are big news in Thailand's media. 10 national newspapers and television channels present the associations activities as flash news. Thailand government officials explained that they are grateful to Turkey for all its help.
