Indonesia didn't forget to show its loyalty towards Van

In 2004, before the Kurban holiday, the tsunami hit the city of Aceh and Turkey helped Indonesia. Now, the Indonesian Government General Secretary Dipo Alam donated $10,000 for the Van earthquake victims and showed the loyalty of Ace.

The region of Aceh in Indonesia was hit by an earthquake which was of 8.4 magnitude and then tsunami happened. Hundreds of thousands of people died and a similar number of people lost their homes and were left homeless. The earthquake and the tsunami disasters happened two weeks ago, before the Kurban holiday, and Anatolian people sent their shares of Kurban meat and alms to Aceh.

Dipo Alam
On the 23rd of October, Indonesian people felt great sorrow when the earthquake in Van happened. Indonesian people did not forget the helping hand that reached for them in 2004. The Indonesian Government Cabinet General Secretary Dipo Alam donated $10,000 to the Van earthquake victims via KYM Association.

Alam gave his condolences for the earthquake victims by saying, "God have mercy on the situation and that the earthquake victims relatives' patients be strong and enduring."

Alam is known as a true friend of Turkey and as an Ottoman gentleman. KYM volunteers visited his home and their attention was drawn to the many Turkish historical and cultural belongings he had there. Alam, in his love for Istanbul, painted an oil painting.

The volunteers indicated that they observed that the Indonesian government official had the Anatolian people's loyalty in him and that the brotherhood lines between the two countries are very strong.
