Turkish college to partner Yobe on education, agriculture

The Turkish International College has expressed its readiness to partner Yobe Emirates on education and agriculture.

Speaking yesterday during a courtesy call on the Emir of Fika, who is also the chairman of the Yobe State council of chiefs, the leader of the Turkish delegation, Sulaiman Oleer said their visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship that exists between Turkey and Yobe, and to work towards providing scholarships to Yobe indigenes to study in Turkish colleges within and outside Nigeria.

“We are visiting Turkish schools in Yobe and Kano States, we want to see Nigerian students and Turkish schools teachers because we learnt that they have learnt a lot of our culture. We want to see how we can sponsor them,” he said.
