Islamabad—ground breaking ceremony of Girls School Campus H-8/1 of Pak Turk International Schools and Colleges was performed here on Friday.
The ceremony was organized by the Pak Turk International Cag Educational Foundation (ICEF’s) in which officials of Pakistan and Turkey, business community, academicians, philanthropists and parents of Pak Turk Schools’ were present.
Speaking on the occasion Unal Tosur, Chairman Pak-Turk ICEF said plot of the School campus was purchased by a group of Pakistani philanthropists in support of Pak Turk ICEF educational initiative.
The school, the ICEF chairman said, will be equipped with the state of the art educational materials and furniture by the businessmen from the city of Kayseri, Turkey.
The Chairman Pak Turk ICEF said the foundation would soon undertake project to set up a modern university in Pakistan to promote quality higher education.
He said the Pak Turk Educational Foundation Schools and Colleges in Pakistan are serving the cause of education with a view to further promoting excellent relations that exist between Pakistan and Turkey. Deputy Chairman Senate Mir Jan Mohammad Jamali, chief guest of the ceremony said, Pakistan and Turkey enjoy age-old brotherly relations and cooperation between them continues to grow Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan of Turkey in his address said Pakistan and his country share views on all vital issues and support each other.
Two members of the Turkish parliament were guests of honour at the ceremony. In their speeches they highlighted historic relations between the peoples of the two countries.
Deputy Chairman Senate, Mir Jan Mohammad Jamali and Editor-in-Chief Pakistan observer, Zahid Malik laid the foundation of Pak Turk International School and along with Turkish Ambassador and members of Turkish parliament.
The School premises spans over 23 Kanals of land. The project comprises the construction of a five-storey building with a covered area of 88,000 square feet with estimated cost of Rs. 155 million.
