Hizmet Movement Blog Launches Spanish and Chinese Editions

Born in December 2009 out of a mission to communicate the message of Honorable Fethullah Gulen and the Hizmet (popularly known as Gulen Movement) he has inspired, the Hizmet Movement Blog has made every effort to make relevant latest news articles -including recent interviews and commentaries-, publications and analyses on Hizmet available to its readers.

Constantly fed with up-to-date articles on the movement's activities in currently over 150 countries, the blog archive features a large volume of hand-picked entries translated from Turkish by volunteers in addition to the majority published originally in English.

The blog updates its subscribers by sending out daily digest e-mails. For those who opt for audio formats, the most recent entries are also available as audio podcasts in iTunes. In order to provide an even wider selection of audiovisual entries and daily updates, Hizmet Movement page has met Internet users via its Twitter account, video blog and Youtube channel, all of which are updated on a regular basis. The blog has ensured that readers benefit a complementary range of online resources brought together in one place.

As the Hizmet continuously expands worldwide and the volume of literature on and inquiry into its philosophy and operation increases, naturally, so does the need for access to credible references in multiple languages. Well aware of such an ever-growing need, the blog has taken action to address it by recently launching two brand new affiliates in two different languages, namely Chinese and Spanish, with their complementary Twitter accounts (@Hizmet_Chinese and @Hizmet_Espanol respectively), for the convenience of its international readers. The new blogs will provide their Chinese and/or Spanish speaking followers with initially introductory and ultimately up-to-date entries by keeping pace with the English version. Moreover, volunteers have also been gearing up new versions, available in other widely spoken languages, scheduled to be launched in the near future.

Finally, as the Hizmet Movement Blog, we would like to affirm our appreciation of feedback of any kind from readers so that the blog can better serve its purpose. Our grateful thanks to all who have contributed to spread the word in one way or another.
