The student, Master Ebubechi Ezenwanne, got a score of 800 both in Mathematics and Physics in the SAT II examination.

Spokesperson for First Surat Group, owner of NTIC, Mr. Cemal Yigit, said Ebubechi demonstrated an uncommon quintessential academic excellence.

The SAT is one indicator of how ready a student is to handle college-level work. The test measures what one learned in high, and how well one can apply that knowledge.

The SAT II, formerly known as the College Board Achievement Tests, is intended to measure a student’s knowledge of a particular subject.

Besides, the examination tests scores present a more personalized portfolio that illustrates how well one would fit at a particular school. Most colleges use SAT II scores for admission purposes, programme placement and counseling.

Also, Yigit said another set of students of NTIC swept the medals table at the first round Olympiads organized by the National Mathematics Centre, sister body to the International Science Olympiads.

In the competition, Yusuf Atolagbe won gold medal in mathematics senior category while Sadiq Sani Danbatta won a gold medal in Physics.

Similarly, Onyiuke Akachukwu Matthew clinched a gold medal in mathematics junior category in the worldwide annual competitions in various areas of science.

This is just as another student from the Kano branch of the school went to Indonesia for the International Science Project Olympiad (ISPRO) and got the bronze medal from more than 200 projects after contesting with students from 28 other nations.
